Context

Pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation, 100 Resilient Cities was an initiative that sought to help cities develop the capacity to prepare for the shocks of the 21st century. In collaboration with HR&A, Level contributed to resilience planning for four cities in the 100RC network. Through participation in the Resilience Workshops and the City Resilience Plan outputs of the 100RC program, Level provided technical support to the risk assessment and resilience diagnostic aspects of the planning assignment.

Our Role

Level Infrastructure developed customized tools that helped enable each city to understand its unique risks and resiliency-building opportunities, in order to protect from shocks and stresses. These tools were a precursor to the City Resilience Plans and were used to prioritize key resilience-building initiatives, meant to protect against a wide range of potential threats in each city.
