Context

When FEMA revised its flood maps in 2015, the One Channel Center property went from being outside of the 100-year flood plain to being within the 100-year flood plain. Tishman Speyer selected Level Infrastructure, with the support of Haley & Aldrich and Nitsch Engineering, to assess the flood risk to One Channel Center.

Our Role

Level Infrastructure reviewed existing flood data and projected both current flood risk and future flood risk to the property. Level presented all flood protection products on the market applicable in an existing building retrofit context, and the client selected Aquafence as a deployable flood barrier. Level then provided technical support to Tishman Speyer in detailing, procuring, and installing the Aquafence product.
