Context
The Urban Land Institute’s Urban Resilience Program works to help communities anticipate and prepare for increased climate risk. Through careful land use planning, strategic infrastructure investment, and smart building design, the Program teaches cities to protect and strengthen their most valuable social, cultural, economic, and environmental assets.
Our Role
Level Infrastructure collaborated with the ULI Urban Resilience Program to develop their knowledge materials for climate change-related resiliency. Byron Stigge served as a Panelist in 2013 on the first of the Advisory Services Panel discussions to address resilience strategies for New York City in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Stigge also served as a Panelist for the urban waterfront resilience Panel in Portland, Maine in 2014. Level Infrastructure worked closely with ULI to create a risk assessment and diagnostic tool that will enable a broad spectrum of cities and property owners to assess climate change-related risks and to prioritize resilience-building initiatives.
